October 7, 2026: SIR 2026 (Special Intensive Revision) will see special camps conducted at polling stations across Kohima district on October 9, following directions from the Election Commission of India to facilitate electors who have received notices and need to submit supporting documents.
The Office of the Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer, Kohima, issued a circular in connection with the ongoing electoral-roll revision, directing concerned election officials to organize the special camps at polling stations.

Election officials have also been directed to collect Form 6, Form 7 and Form 8, where applicable, along with the required supporting documents. The collected documents are to be properly recorded and maintained.
The Election Commission’s SIR exercise in Nagaland is aimed at ensuring that eligible citizens are included in the electoral rolls while ineligible entries are excluded. The state began its SIR process with October 1, 2026, as the qualifying date.
