About Us
Nagaland.news is a digital daily dedicated to the people of Nagaland and the wider Northeast of India. We report the news that shapes daily life in the region, from the decisions taken in Kohima to the stories unfolding in villages and towns across every district, and we do it with a commitment to accuracy, fairness and context.
Our mission
Nagaland has a rich and distinct identity, yet its stories are too often overlooked or told by people far removed from the ground. We started Nagaland.news to change that. Our mission is simple: to give Nagaland a modern, independent and trustworthy news publication of its own, one that treats readers as intelligent people who deserve clear reporting and honest context rather than noise.
What we cover
We report across the subjects that matter to the region, including:
- Nagaland and the Northeast, the news closest to home, district by district.
- Politics and governance, from policy and elections to public services.
- Business and the economy, livelihoods, enterprise and development.
- Education, schools, colleges, examinations and opportunities for students.
- Culture and community, the festivals, traditions and people of Nagaland.
- Sport, local, national and international.
- India and the world, the national and global stories that affect us here.
Alongside our written reporting in English, we produce a dedicated video section in Nagamese, so that important stories reach the widest possible audience in the language spoken across the region.
Who we are
Nagaland.news is published by Nagaland Me, a registered digital media and technology company based in Dimapur, Nagaland. The publication was founded by Aloto Naga, a journalist and creator with a long-standing presence in Naga media, including the Aloto Naga TV channel followed by hundreds of thousands of viewers. Our roots are entirely in the region, and every platform we build is made specifically to serve Nagaland and the Northeast.
Our standards
We hold ourselves to clear editorial standards. We verify before we publish, we separate news from opinion, and we correct mistakes openly and promptly. Our reporting is independent of the advertisers and partners who help fund the publication. You can read more in our Editorial Policy and Corrections Policy.
